Where to Stay

Our recommendations for a comfortable stay near the venue

July is peak season in Vancouver — we strongly recommend booking as soon as possible. Click any option to open it in Google Maps.

Gage Suites at UBC

4.3 / 5 · TripAdvisor

Spacious one-bedroom suites with fully equipped kitchens, Nespresso, air conditioning, and balconies. A step up in comfort from Gage, and also on campus. Carbon-neutral, 24-hour front desk, and parking available. Ideal for guests staying a few nights and wanting a home base.

Boutique

Granville Island Hotel

~15 min drive

9.4 / 10 · U.S. News · 4 / 5 TripAdvisor

From CAD $280/night

The only hotel on Granville Island — a waterfront boutique property with False Creek views, passing sailboats outside the window, and the island's famous market and artisan shops on the doorstep. On-site Dockside Restaurant is excellent for a pre-wedding dinner. Rooms are well-appointed; splurge for a balcony room.

Airbnb & Short-Term Rentals

Vancouver has an excellent range of Airbnbs, from heritage Craftsman homes to waterfront apartments. The three neighbourhoods below are our top picks for proximity and character.

Kitsilano

The neighbourhood directly between UBC and downtown — beachy, café-lined, and full of heritage homes. Kitsilano Beach is a short stroll away, and 4th Avenue has excellent restaurants. About 10–15 min drive to the venue. Great for couples who want the full Vancouver experience.

Jericho Beach

Quiet, residential, and the closest neighbourhood to Cecil Green Park House. Peaceful tree-lined streets and direct beach access. Shorter on restaurants than Kits, but a very easy journey to and from the venue. Ideal for guests who want calm over convenience.

University Endowment Lands

Residential enclave immediately surrounding UBC campus — you can't get closer. Airbnb supply is limited but what's available puts you within walking distance of the venue. Search early; these go fast in summer.
